HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville woman with multiple warrants out for her arrest was located in Hopkinsville, leading to a short foot pursuit through a nearby creek.

While patrolling the area of West Second Street and Riverfront, Hopkinsville Police officers located the 23-year-old suspect walking nearby around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 29. Officers approached her in their patrol car due to her having three active warrants, according to an arrest report.

The suspect ran on foot into the Little River on the east side of the bridge, going through the water, and coming back up the embankment on the west side. Officers were able to make contact with her, and she was detained within ten minutes of the initial encounter.

She was arrested and served her three warrants for failure to appear and is additionally being charged with fleeing or evading police.
