HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Christian County Public Schools Superintendent Chris Bentzel has announced Stephanie Blanton to serve as the next principal at Christian County Middle School in accordance with KRS 160.345. Ms. Blanton will officially begin her tenure on July 1, 2026. Blanton most recently served as the school’s assistant principal for the past year and half.

“Stephanie Blanton’s leadership, experience, and commitment to students make her an excellent choice to lead Christian County Middle School,” said Superintendent Chris Bentzel. “Having served both as assistant principal at CCMS and as principal at MLK, she understands the needs of our school community and the importance of strong relationships. We look forward to the vision and leadership she will bring to CCMS.”

Blanton is a proud graduate of Christian County High School. She launched her professional career in education in 2008 as a first-grade teacher at Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary. Throughout her tenure at the school, she expanded her impact by teaching third grade and serving as a specialized reading and math interventionist. In 2021, Blanton transitioned into school administration, taking on the role of assistant principal at MLK.

Her leadership journey culminated in 2023, when she served as the school’s principal during its final year of operation. She currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Christian County Middle School, a role she has held since 2024, where she supports instructional leadership, student achievement, and a positive school culture. She believes progress is achieved when leadership is intentional, expectations are clear, and everyone shares responsibility for student success.

A lifelong learner, Blanton is a graduate of Murray State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education. She furthered her education at the same institution, earning multiple master’s degrees to support her work in instructional leadership and student achievement.

“I am honored and excited for the opportunity to lead Christian County Middle School,” said Ms. Blanton. “I am excited to build upon the strong foundation and positive momentum established under Mrs. Lindsey’s leadership.”

Blanton and her husband, William, reside in Hopkinsville and have three sons, Ty, Trey, and TJ.
