HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The City of Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department has released their 2026 annual schedule, highlighting a full year of community events, programs, races, festivals, and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors of all ages.

“Our team works year-round to create a schedule that brings people together and makes the most of our parks and facilities,” said Toby Hudson, Superintendent of Parks & Recreation. “The 2026 schedule continues that tradition, offering a strong mix of returning favorites and new experiences we’re excited to share with the community.”

The hefty schedule includes longstanding traditions like Touch-a-Truck, the Hoptown Half Marathon, Squealin’ on the Square, fireworks on the Fourth of July, Hoptown Idol, the Summer Salute, chili cookoff and a variety of holiday events. This year, parks and recreation is also facilitating baseball and softball tournaments along with recurring HopTown Nights events through spring, summer and fall.

Year-round they will be offering pickleball at the Thomas Street Recreation Center, with other seasonal sports including volleyball and youth soccer.
