HOPKINSVILLE, KY – The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County and the Human Rights Commission invite the community to join The Supper Club: Inspiring Cultural & Culinary Conversations, an open group that explores the diversity of our community through food. The club is open to anyone who loves food, conversation, and learning about other cultures through commensality.
The Supper Club’s first meeting of 2026 will be Thursday, March 12 and will meet at the Pennyroyal Area Museum at 6 p.m.
Back by popular demand, this month’s program features the Nance siblings who will be cooking traditional African American soul food. Thelma Nance Moore, Paulette Nance Robinson, Shirley Nance Shelton, Desma Renea Nance Blount, and Delmar Nance will share some of their favorite foods from their childhood. The family comes to us with a strong culinary background. Their mother prepared meals for the convention center and at the family restaurant Nance’s on Walnut Street for decades. These traditional dishes are sure to fill your belly and your soul.
They will share stories about a variety of dishes, and guests will have the opportunity to taste and experience the cuisine. Guests will take home a recipe and any unique ingredients required to cook the dish at home.

The Supper Club is designed to build community belonging. Sharing conversations over a meal is a great way to bring people together to share their culture, rituals, and traditions.
