CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A portion of Madisonville Road in Crofton is blocked to traffic Monday morning as emergency crews work to extinguish a structure fire.
Around 8:40 a.m., the Christian County Sheriff’s Office shared that Crofton and Westside Fire Departments responded to a garage fire near the area of Madisonville Road and Cavanaugh Lane. Photos from the scene show that the structure is a total loss due to damage.
The garage is located on Old Madisonville Road, but since the fire has spread to the nearby wood line, that intersection of the roadway is impacted. CCSO warns that traffic will be slowed or stopped while firefighters clear the scene.
