HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville’s locally owned movie theater, The Showbox, will be showing the big game on Feb. 11. This unique tailgating and watch party experience allows people to purchase a ticket for an AFC theater or NFC theater so fans can cheer along with their favorite team on a giant screen.
Madyson Pollock, the general manager of The Showbox told Christian County Now that the owners are huge football fans, which is what inspired the event. “Community events are important to The Showbox because they bring everyone together. We want to encourage unity, friendship, and friendly competition,” said Pollock.
A full tailgate experience can be expected before the game with food trucks, corn hole tournaments, a DJ, full bar access, and giveaways during halftime.
They hope to continue doing themed events every month with plans for Harry Potter movie marathons, gaming tournaments, and live shows. Tickets for the Feb. 11 game are $25 and can be purchased on The Showbox website.
