HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Christian County Public Schools Education Foundation held a kick-off luncheon on Tuesday to launch their investment campaign at The Silo Event Center in Hopkinsville.

“Through the foundation, we have the ability to raise money for the sole purpose of pouring back into our schools,” said CCPS Education Foundation Executive Director Angie Minor. The foundation was founded in the spring of 2023 in an effort to enrich the educational experience for students in Christian County schools.

The CCPS Education Foundation is one of 48 across the state which aim to provide further support to public schools. The three originating Christian County residents who serve as board members are Bill Munday, Tracy Pelletier, and Noell Robinson.

The foundation can be a game changer, explains CCPS Superintendent Chris Bentzel, “Through the support of the community we have the opportunity to invest in our future, and that investment benefits everyone in Christian County.”

According to a press release from CCPS, the initial idea for the foundation began through the Inspire Early Learning Academy partnership. The foundation also has seven legacy partners who have pledged more than $50,000 each.
