Claire McAleer, 83, of Pembroke, Kentucky died at 11:21 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at her residence.
No services will be held. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is assisting with arrangements.
A native of Homewood, Illinois she was born on May 30, 1940 the daughter of the late Everett Olson and Lila Richardson Olson. In her professional life she was employed as a Social Worker. She married Thomas McAleer and they raised four children.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Thomas McAleer.
Survivors include her son: Ted(Maria Jose’) McAleer of Seville, Spain; daughters: Dawn (Joe) Stealy of Statesboro, Georgia; MaryClaire Mullins of Pembroke, Kentucky; and Kate McAleer of Pembroke, Kentucky; brother: George Olson of Chicago, Illinois; sister MaryEllen Hansburg of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren; Tara (Jacob) Purcell; Alexander Mullins; Nicole (Ben) Luley; Toni (Josiah) Elswick; Christopher (Naomi) Philbrook; Cory Stealy; and Ryan Stealy; great grandchildren: Riley Purcell; Sawyer Purcell; Avery Purcell; Sophia Mullins; Ayla Lay; Henry Lay; Oliver Luly.
