Update, 6:13 p.m.: The storms are along a line extending from near Graham to 8 miles north of Pembroke to Oak Grove, moving east at 50 mph with up to 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. The warning has been extended until 7 p.m.
Update, 6:03 p.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued. A storm was located near Crofton, or 16 miles northeast of Hopkinsville, moving east at 45 mph with up to 70 mph wind gusts and possible quarter size hail.
“Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings,” the NWS said. “For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.”

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Christian County.
The Watch is in effect until 9 p.m. A Watch means that conditions are right for a severe storm to develop. If a severe storm is indicated on radar, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued.
“Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon. Large hail and isolated gusty winds will be possible with these storms as they move southeast,” the NWS said.
