HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The 2024 Angel Tree program is now accepting applicants for the holiday season. Registration is open for children and senior citizens in the community, to ensure everyone can experience the joy of Christmas morning.

“The Angel Tree program is a cornerstone of The Salvation Army’s commitment to serving our community during the holiday season,” said Lieutenant David Donegan, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army in Hopkinsville. “Each year, we see the incredible impact that this program has on both the recipients and the donors. It’s truly heartwarming to witness the generosity of our community and the joy that these gifts bring to children and seniors alike.”

Once registered and accepted, each Angel’s wish list is shared with donors in the community who purchase and provide gifts tailored to their needs and wishes. These gifts are then distributed to families in time for Christmas, allowing parents the joy of placing presents under the tree for their children and family.

How to register

Children 12 years old and under can be registered, along with seniors above the age of 62. Families with children will need to supply identification for all adults in the household, and birth certificates for all children. Proof of income and address will also need to be provided along with the children’s clothing sizes and three wish list items.

Seniors being registered also need to supply a proof of income and identification along with clothing sizes and wish list items.
