HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A man was arrested after a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday night sent four people to hospital. The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 at the intersection of Country Club Lane and Sherwood Drive.
Hopkinsville Police officers on the scene concluded that the 34-year-old male driver was swerving into oncoming traffic, which is what caused the collision. It was also determined that he was driving on a DUI suspended license, according to a police report.
Three patients involved in the collision were taken to Jennie Stuart Health with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Hopkinsville Fire/EMS. The fourth patient was taken to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with severe injuries.
The driver was arrested and charged with driving with a DUI suspended license second offence, and negligence in an accident.
