HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This year’s Summer Salute Festival in Hopkinsville has got its headliner and later date, with country artist Easton Corbin set to take the stage during this massive downtown event.
The festival will take place on Sept. 12-13 with free live music, over 70 food and vendor booths, carnival rides, a beer garden, and more. In previous years, the festival took place in August, and a decision was made to move it to September in order to avoid extreme temperatures.

Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation said the intense August heat created challenges, with food truck vendors reporting temperatures inside their vehicles reaching up to 135 degrees due to the combined effects of cooking equipment and high outdoor temperatures. Historical weather data shows that September in Hopkinsville generally brings more moderate temperatures, providing welcome relief.
Corbin will be the headliner Saturday night on the Justice Center stage during the festival, with The Frontmen as an opening act. The night before, 90s hit tribute band Saved By the Music will perform, along with Earth, Wind, and Fire tribute band Shining Star.
