HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville man is facing two drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop yielded several narcotics and cash.
On Sept. 25 around 2:30 p.m., a traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle in the area of Canton Street after vehicle tags were flagged for insurance. In the arrest reported from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy noted that the smell of marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle, leading to a probable cause search.
After a search of 59-year-old Christopher Goode, the deputy found several narcotics in his pockets including four grams of meth, five Lortab pills, 18 grams of marijuana, a vial of Demerol, and pills believed to be Xanax and Clonedine. There was also a notable amount of currency alongside the drugs.
Goode was arrested and transported to the Christian County Jail. He is being charged with trafficking in meth and marijuana, along with two possession charges.
