HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A naked man believed to be on drugs was arrested early Tuesday morning after unlawfully entering a home in Hopkinsville.

On Dec. 2 around 6 a.m., officers with the Hopkinsville Police Department were dispatched to a residence on South Main Street in response to a burglary in progress. The homeowner said there was an unknown man inside his house and he was holding the suspect at gunpoint until police arrived, according to an arrest report.

Officers located 46-year-old Michael McClendon laying on the floor of the homeowner’s bathroom. The arrest report notes that the suspect appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was naked.

McClendon was removed from the home and clothed, with two grams of methamphetamine found in his possession. HPD says the suspect is homeless and does not have a listed address. He was arrested and is being charged with burglary, drug possession, and public intoxication.
