Summer Reading Kick-Off Party

  • Where: Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library in Hopkinsville
  • When: May 30, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library will launch its Summer Reading Program with a family-friendly block party featuring interactive “life-like” dinosaurs, face painting, food trucks and games. The first 100 children in attendance will receive a special activity book.

Holler Bash

  • Where: 1350 Manire Road, Crofton
  • When: June 4-7
  • Cost: Not listed
  • Details: Holler Bash will bring four days of mud riding, live music and outdoor entertainment to Crofton. The event will feature performances by Twang and Round, Dusty Leigh, Bubba Sparxxx and Moonshine Mafia Parker, along with appearances and entertainment from Can-Am Chris. Organizers encourage attendees to bring off-road vehicles, coolers and camping gear for the multi-day gathering.

Bark For Life

  • Where: Hopkinsville Dog Park in Hopkinsville
  • When: June 6, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Cost: $10 for the first dog, $5 for each additional dog
  • Details: Christian County Relay for Life will host Bark For Life, a community event welcoming dogs of all kinds for contests, activities and prizes. Categories include oldest and youngest dog, look-alike contest, best costume, cutest or ugliest dog, best trick and furthest traveled. Registration is available online through Bark For Life of Christian County.

Yoga in the Park

  • Where: Westside Park in Hopkinsville
  • When: June 6 at 10 a.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation and Balance Hoptown will host Yoga in the Park, giving participants a chance to enjoy outdoor yoga surrounded by nature. The event encourages community members to bring a mat and take part in a relaxing, open-air session focused on mindfulness and movement.

Papa Fest Foam Party

  • Where: Christian County Health Department
  • When: June 11, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Papa Fest is an opportunity for families, specifically fathers and their children, to come together for an evening of fun in the sun. Join the health department for a foam party and water activities, giveaways, and raffle prizes. Preregistration is urged.

137th Annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner

  • Where: James E. Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville
  • When: June 11 at 5 p.m.
  • Cost: $80 per ticket, various prices for tables.
  • Details: The Christian County Chamber of Commerce will host its 137th Annual Chamber Dinner, celebrating the local business community and recognizing achievements from across the region.

Micro Wrestling

  • Where: Hopkinsville Brewing Company in Hopkinsville
  • When: June 11, 7-9 p.m.
  • Cost: Tickets starting at $25.
  • Details: The Micro Wrestling Federation will bring its all-ages professional wrestling show to Hopkinsville Brewing Company featuring a full cast of wrestlers under five feet tall. The event will include single matches, a “Micro Brawl,” a championship “Micro Rumble” and opportunities for fans to meet the wrestlers and get autographs after the show.

Squealin’ on the Square

  • Where: Founders Square in Hopkinsville
  • When: June 12 at 6 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Local pitmasters and barbecue teams will compete during Squealin’ on the Square, a downtown BBQ competition featuring cash prizes, trophies and bragging rights. Up to 12 teams will spend the day smoking and grilling before the public is invited to sample the barbecue and enjoy an evening of food and entertainment tied to another Hoptown Night event.

Pride in the Park

  • Where: Hopkinsville Greenway Amphitheater in Hopkinsville
  • When: June 13, 1-3 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: The Hopkinsville Human Rights Commission will host Pride in the Park in celebration of Pride Month. The event will feature local vendors, music, open mic performances and crafts in a community-focused outdoor gathering.

Hoptown Nights

  • Where: Downtown Hopkinsville
  • When: June 12 from 5-9 p.m.
  • Cost: Free admission
  • Details: A new downtown series from Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation to promote local downtown businesses and build a strong community. Live music will be held at various businesses where people can hop from place to place including Camo Caravan, The Mixer, Hopkinsville Brewing Company and The Crusty Pig.

NY NY Dueling Pianos

  • Where: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel in Oak Grove
  • When: June 13 at 8 p.m.
  • Cost: Starting at $34.90
  • Details: NY NY Dueling Pianos will bring a comedy-based, interactive music show to Oak Grove featuring sing-alongs, audience participation and performances covering a wide range of artists and genres. The high-energy show includes everything from classic rock and country to pop hits, along with comedy, roasts and crowd interaction.

Oak Grove Community Block Part & Resource Fair

  • When: June 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Where: Oak Grove Community Center
  • Cost: Donations accepted, free admission
  • Details: Hourly fitness classes, bounce houses, basketball tournament, vendors, food trucks and a farmers’ market. Fundraiser donations benefit the Children’s Hearts Foundation.

Jazzing For Juneteenth Festival

  • Where: Hopkinsville Visitors Center
  • When: June 20, 4-8 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: The Jazzing For Juneteenth Festival will celebrate Juneteenth with live music, community activities and an evening performance by blues artist Tina Brown, known as the “Bad Girl of Blues.” Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the outdoor event, with Brown scheduled to perform at 6:30 p.m.

Bigfoot Howl-N-Holler Contest

  • Where: Hopkinsville Brewing Company
  • When: June 20 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $10 to enter contest
  • Details: Think you can do the best bigfoot howl or holler in town? This event is Hopkinsville’s first contest of its kind. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Winners in these spots will advance to the final showdown at GoblinCon 2026

Military Appreciation Night at the Hoppers

  • Where: Hopkinsville High School Tiger Field
  • When: June 20 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Cost: Free admission
  • Details: The Southwestern Kentucky Military Affairs Committee, Hoptown Hoppers and Olivet Baptist Church will host Military Appreciation Night to honor active-duty service members, veterans and military families. The evening will include giveaways, patriotic celebrations and a Hoppers baseball game, with the national anthem beginning at 6:15 p.m. before first pitch at 6:30 p.m.

Hopkinsville Chamber Orchestra and Chorus Inaugural Concert

  • Where: Alhambra Theatre in Hopkinsville
  • When: June 20, 6:30p.m.
  • Cost: Adult tickets $25, children $15 
  • Details: The Hopkinsville Chamber Orchestra and Chorus will present their inaugural concert, marking the launch of a new local performing arts ensemble formed in partnership with the Pennyroyal Arts Council. The performance will feature regional professionals, guest artists and local musicians under the direction of Heejung Park. A celebratory reception will follow the concert, offering attendees a chance to meet the performers and mark the beginning of this community arts initiative.

Western Kentucky State Fair

  • Where: Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds in Hopkinsville
  • When: June 26 through July 4
  • Cost: $3 gate admission, $1 military
  • Details: The Western Kentucky State Fair will open its 75th anniversary celebration. The week will feature rides, a petting zoo, live entertainment, line dancing, pageants, tractor pulls, a demolition derby, wrestling and more.

The Chair Project 2026

  • Where: Hopkinsville Brewing Company in Hopkinsville
  • When: June 26, 5–7 p.m.
  • Cost: Free admission.
  • Details: The Chair Project 2026 is a creative fundraising event benefiting Sanctuary, Inc., which provides safety, shelter and counseling for individuals and children fleeing domestic violence and sexual abuse. Artists are invited to design or transform chairs that will be displayed and auctioned during the event, with proceeds supporting the organization. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the silent auction concludes at 7 p.m. Monetary prizes will be awarded for standout entries, including Best in Show and Runner Up.

Better Than Ezra concert

  • Where: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel in Oak Grove
  • When: June 26 at 8 p.m.
  • Cost: Tickets starting at $25
  • Details: Alternative rock band Better Than Ezra will perform at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel. The New Orleans-based group is known for hits including “Good” and has spent more than three decades building a following with its mix of catchy rock melodies and introspective songwriting. The band has been recognized by Billboard among the greatest alternative artists and songs of all time.

Red, White and Oooh! Community Fireworks Show

  • Where: Western Kentucky Fairgrounds
  • When: July 4 at 9 p.m.
  • Details: Free rides from 4-5 p.m. and other scheduled fair activities with wrestling and tractor pulls at 7 p.m. before the fireworks show.

Fort Campbell Independence Day Celebration

  • Where: Division Parade Field, Fort Campbell (5004 Screaming Eagle Blvd.)
  • When: July 4, starting at 1 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Full afternoon and evening of activities, including a carnival, live entertainment, a division ceremony, command remarks, a Charlie Daniels hologram concert and a fireworks show immediately following the concert. Food and entertainment vendors will be on site.

Splash Day

  • Where: Christian Way Farm & Mini Golf in Hopkinsville
  • When: July 11, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Cost: Included with regular farm or farm + mini golf admission
  • Details: Splash Day at Christian Way Farm will feature a full day of family-friendly water fun, including a giant water slide, bubble stations and kiddie pools. Guests can also enjoy the farm’s regular activities such as feeding and petting animals, riding the lawnmower train, playing in the corn truck and exploring outdoor play areas.

Hoptown Nights/Hoptown Idol

  • Where: Downtown Hopkinsville
  • When: July 24 from 5-9 p.m.

Men2Be Presents: Hopkinsville Emerald City Gala

  • Where: The Silo in Hopkinsville
  • When: Aug. 1, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Cost: $50 presale, $65 general admission.
  • Details: Men2Be Inc. will host the Emerald City Gala, a fundraising event focused on supporting young men through mentorship and development programs. The gala is themed around “lighting the yellow brick road to success” and will feature a night of impact, purpose and community fundraising. Guests are encouraged to secure tables in advance for the event.

GoblinCon 2026

  • Where: The Bruce
  • When: Aug. 22, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Aug. 23, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Details: GoblinCon UFO and Paranormal Expo is a 2-day exposition celebrating the anniversary of The Kelly/Hopkinsville Goblin and all things paranormal hosted by Visit Hopkinsville. Featuring over 70 vendors and interactive exhibits, engaging talks from renowned speakers, participate in educational workshops, and enjoy captivating panels covering paranormal topics from aliens to ghosts to bigfoot.
