CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Two people suspected of drug trafficking were arrested after a search of a residence yielded several narcotics and guns.
On Friday just before 11:15 a.m., deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit executed a search warranted at the North Elm Street residence of 65-year-old Jaton Spencer and 53-year-old Sharrod Kendrick of Hopkinsville.

A stolen handgun was located during the search along with drug paraphernalia. Inside the vent in the kitchen deputies found 31 grams of cocaine, 2.1 ounces of meth, 5.5 ounces of marijuana and another handgun along with a large amount of cash.
Both suspects denied ownership of the narcotics.
They were both arrested and taken to the Christian County Jail and are facing three drug trafficking charges, receiving stolen property, and possessing drug paraphernalia. Kendrick was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and he was found to have a warrant for his arrest by the United States Marshals Service.
