HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A heat advisory is in affect Tuesday between noon to 8 p.m. as the heat index rises to 110 degrees.
“A hot and humid day is in store for today with highs in the mid to upper 90s, and heat index of 100 to 115,” said the National Weather Service of Paducah.
Wednesday, there is a 70% chance of storms and showers with the possibility of gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Storms should dissipate before 7 p.m. making way for a calm and clear evening. The National Weather Service says a brief break in the heat is expected on Thursday, but returns again by Friday.
