HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A concrete pavement repair project is scheduled to take place on McLean Avenue in Hopkinsville next week that will impact traffic.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin the repairs on March 3 at 8 a.m., which will result in closures of the eastbound lane of McLean Avenue (U.S. 68/ KY 80) for multiple days. This blockage will include southbound Exit 9 from I-165 and the southbound on-ramp from McLean Avenue west to I-165.
In a news release, KYTC says they originally planned to keep the lanes blocked until Wednesday, March 5 to complete the project, but due to projected rainfalls on Tuesday, crews now plan to reopen the roadway Monday night and leaving it open until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6.
The work will then resume and last until Friday March 7. During the repairs, traffic will be diverted to Eagle Way Bypass then back to U.S. 68.
