CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A building and several cars were destroyed in a fire on April 16 in Christian County.

The fire occurred at S&S Towing and Auto Repair on Hickory Smokehouse Road Wednesday afternoon. Smoke from the raging fire could be seen in the sky miles away from the scene, with one resident seeing plumes of smoke nearly five miles away as several crews worked to extinguish it.

According to Randy Graham with Chrisitan County Emergency Managment, several volunteer fire departments were called to respond. Westside Volunteer Fire Department initially arrived on scene, eventually assisted by Crofton, Highland, Lacy, Northwest, and Cerulean Volunteer Fire Departments.

The facility and equipment caught in the flames were deemed a total loss by emergency management, along with several cars that were nearby. No injuries were reported.
