HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Kicking off Halloween one day early, Christian County Public Schools, as The Power of One, held their annual trunk or treat event at the Stadium of Champions. Student groups from Christian County High School and Hopkinsville High School gathered in the parking lot to hand out candy to younger trick-or-treaters and their families.

The parking lot was filled with creatures of every variety, including dinosaurs, cheerleaders, clowns, movie villains, magicians, mascots and superheroes, and that was just the students handing out candy. Over thirty groups from both schools were represented at the event.

Families lined up early and walked through the event, gathering goodies and enjoying the imaginative displays on hand. The Future Farmers of America dispensed candy from the bucket of a tractor, the Hopkinsville High Beta Club had a “pick or treat” interactive display and participants could become a Barbie Doll in a box at another display. Everyone involved got plenty of candy and fun at the event.
