HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The City of Hopkinsville facilitated the demolition of a few historic buildings in downtown Hopkinsville within the past few years, all of which were either vacant, abandoned and in deteriorating condition.
Most recently the Blue Streak Building was torn down on East Ninth Street, leaving a large empty lot in central downtown for a future development. Although locally owned businesses are establishing roots on a regular basis utilizing various restoration initiatives, this still leaves multiple unused, empty and old buildings throughout the city.
What’s your opinion about what should be done with these buildings? Take our poll below and see the updated results.
