Update, 3:20 p.m.: A Flood Warning has been issued for Christian and Trigg Counties, specifically on the Little River and South Fork Little River.
“Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles,” the NWS alert said. “Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.”

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This weekend, expect up to five inches of rain with flash flooding in certain areas. A chance of rain is expected every day through Sunday.
The high will be in the 70s with lows dropping into the 60s overnight, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS has also issued a flood watch until Sept. 28 at 7 a.m. and a wind advisory is in effect from 7 a.m. Friday until Saturday, Sept. 28 at 1 a.m.

Here’s the day-by-day outlook.
- Friday: Showers. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 71. Breezy, with a northeast wind 17 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
- Friday night: Showers. Low around 61. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming southeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
- Saturday: Showers. High near 70. East southeast wind around 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
- Saturday night: A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 60. North northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
- Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. North northwest wind 5 to 7 mph.
- Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Light west northwest wind.
