HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Haunted houses and trails, hayrides, and trick or treating events are happening through Halloween!

Trick-or-treating

Hopkinsville Community College 5th Annual Fall Festival

Where: Hopkinsville Community College
When: Oct. 26 from 5-7 p.m.
Cost: Free and open to the public.
Details: Trick or treating, candy bags, photo booth, and a live DJ.

Downtown Hopkinsville Trick or Treating

Where: Downtown Hopkinsville
Cost: Free and open to the public
When: Oct. 31 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Details: Costumes and outdoor trick or treating downtown.

Halloween In the Grove

Where: Valor Hall
When: Oct. 28 at 5 p.m.
Cost: Free and open to the public
Details: This spooktacular night will feature a large and spooky haunted house (ages 13 plus), free candy in the trick or treat alley, a free pumpkin patch, hayrides, and a hauntingly endless amount of fun!

Howl-O-Ween

Where: 2935 Russellville Road, Christian County Animal Shelter
Cost: Free
When: Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Details: There will be food trucks, vendors, raffles, games, face painting and plenty of fun to be had for furry friends and their owners. The animal shelter will also be offering $8 microchips in an effort to reduce stray animals in the area.

Haunted houses

Prosperity Falls Haunted Acres

Where: 3190 Prosperity Lane, Hopkinsville.
When: Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to midnight and Sundays from 7 to 10 p.m. through Halloween.
Cost: $20 admission per attraction.
Details: Two haunted attractions, the Trail of Terror and Ride of Screams hayride.

Nightmares End Haunted House

Where: 1595 Billy Goat Hill Road, Hopkinsville.
When: Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to midnight and Sundays from 7 to 10 p.m. through Halloween.
Cost: $15 for admission
Details: Walk-through haunted house attraction.

More Halloween festivities

Pumpkin carving party

Where: Hopkinsville Brewing Co., 102 E. 5 St.
Cost: Free
When: Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Details: Join Superlawn & Garden for pumpkin carving at the brewery. Pumpkins will be provided but participants must bring their own carving tools. Prizes will be awarded for funniest, scariest, cutest, and most creative pumpkins.

Spooky South Main Stroll

Where: Tours will start and end in the parking lot of First Baptist Church on the corner of Main and 16 streets.
Cost: Tickets are $15 per person and $12 for Museum Members.
When: Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Details: Stroll along main street and listen to tragic stories of murder, suicide, and accidental death connected to some of the city’s most beautiful and historic homes. The walking tour will cover 1.25 miles and last approximately 1.5 hours.
