HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Cayden Cline, from Christian County Middle School, has been named Area One Middle School Runner of the Year, according to a news release from Christian County Public Schools.
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association selects runners for area honors each year. Cline is an eighth grader and is only in his second year as a cross country runner. Cline clocked the fastest 5k time on record for a middle school student on the Colonel team and qualified for the KHSAA state tournament.
“We are so proud of Cayden and for him being selected for this honor,” said CCHS Cross Country Coach Whitney Holder. “Cayden is a hard worker and to be selected out of hundreds of middle school students is a testament to his outstanding abilities.”
